I thought I’d follow Calgary Public Library on Twitter as it
brings back fond memories. I’ve always been intrigued by library layouts and
designs, just the physical space, and I remember living in Calgary in the 80’s
and exploring virtually each and every library in the city! I loved going to a
different library and just seeing what they had to offer, checking out the
atmosphere, etc. I soon discovered that libraries are very much like people (or
animals!) in that they each have their own distinct personality.
I lived in Calgary for a couple of years in middle school and it's funny, I didn't venture far from my school library and the pool. I missed the experience!
ReplyDeleteI find that sometimes when you live in a place you do tend to miss out on a lot the city has to offer; for instance, I lived in Vancouver for 2 years, but only made it out to Stanley Park once! I guess we just take things for granted at times!
